Arab culture pervaded New York Life

NEW YORK - The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development aims to enhance creativity and innovation the UAE on the global stage by participating in the New York International Book Fair, said Bilal Budoor, Executive Director for Arts and Cultural Affairs.

Participation of the ministry of culture reflects the UAE ranks in the region. The number of collections of paintings and materials about the culture of the UAE will convey the true picture.

Al Budoor added that the ministry seeks to promote interaction with international publishing houses, as well as to be acquainted with the latest trends in the publishing and distribution and exchange experiences with publishers and authors from the United States.

In Abu Dhabi alone, every year the International Book Fairs held regularly. Last exhibition was held in March 2009 followed by 637 participants from 52 countries. Exhibition held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center was attended by 200,000 visitors.
